Whiston also did a translation from the Greek of the New Testament in 1745:

He called it the Primitive New Testament, and was based on Codex Beza. I find that it reads very well, though I have not looked at it critically - no Johannine Comma.

He was a courageous SolaScriptura anti-Trinitarian at a time when that could get you the death penalty. He was the successor to Issac Newton as Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge, a friend and protoge of Newton's, at first. Cambridge then charged him with heresy, fired him and sent in a formal charge of heresy to the Queen. The queen kept "losing" the file and asking for it to be resubmitted, and was never prosecuted.

I have converted his New Testament in OSIS and hence sword modules.
Steve: have you given any thought to hosting a library of files or sword modules at PBF?
