- Codex Sinaiticus and Constantine Simonides - was Simonides calligraphy skills good enough to forge the Codex Siniaticus?
What was your explanation for what happened here?

And I agree (after seeing modern color photographs of the Symais manuscript itself).
It's so patently fake! And it's so obvious that it's artificially aged. It really is a clumsy and poor quality forgery.
There is no comparison with the Sinaiticus.
Steven
It would be good to compare them directly, emphasis on parchment and ink, looking at the streaky, stained London pages of Sinaiticus compared to Symais. Afaik, you are the first to say that Symais is distressed, artificially aged.

Patently (designedly) misleading.

You did in fact claim that Symais was distressed.
I will conclude that all your diversion bluster in your last post was simply your attempt to mask that issue, and I will ask you now:
What specific features did you see that led you to the conclusion that Symais is "artificially aged"?

If you haven't noticed! Steven is research begging again, begging the opposition to cough up their hard earned research! He's begging for color pictures of the Symais manuscript.

Apparently you saw something very compelling in the Crete library pages, or some scholar somewhere.
However, you really, really, really do not want to support your claim.
Oopsss
