five major areas where Homestead Heritage needs a paradigm shift away from corrupted doctrines and praxis

five major areas where Homestead Heritage needs a paradigm shift away from corrupted doctrines and praxis

This is my perspective in including #1, the perfection of the English Authorized Version. Even those readers unsure on that point should easily comprehend the subsequent points. Note that Homestead Heritage themselves have acknowledged the abject corruption of the Vaticanus-primacy modern version Greek text, editions from the Westcott-Hort recension. Yet, at the same time corruption versions abound in the homes and meetings, fostering total confusion as to the identity of the pure word of God. And even the new age charlatan version, The Message, is used as a home Bible (sic) version. This situation of perplexing confusion is then parlayed into placing the emphasis upon the Homestead Heritage literature.

================

1) The AV is the pure and perfect word of God (Authorized Version of 1611, aka the King James Bible.) This includes the heavenly witnesses:

1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven,
the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:
and these three are one.

and Acts 8:37 (see below in water baptism.) The modern attacks on those beautiful verses, trying to say they are not really scripture, are based simply on confusion and error from a false paradigm.

Homestead Heritage should drop the usage of, at the very least, all the corruption versions that are from the Alexandrian texts. Editions which they themselves acknowledge as from a very corrupt Greek text. And these editions are also full of poor translation.

The bibliology of Homestead Heritage today is far from the days when Blair Adams held the AV up from the pulpit and spoke in a thunderous manner of the Bible purity, the plumb line of faith.

(SIDENOTE: In those days, especially the 1970s, it was not so clear in the public arena how bad was the Westcott and Hort recension, the Greek behind the Critical Text modern version editions. Since the 1970s, these editions, like the NIV two radically different editions, the ESV, Holman, and dozens more, have multiplied, in an ever-changing scourge of competing and conflicting editions. Upending doctrinal inquiry in the modern Christian world. As one of hundreds of examples, open any of those versions and look for God was manifest in the flesh in 1 Timothy 3:16. Also they are adding blatant ultra-minority errors, such as "his daugther Herodias", the NETBible of Mark 6:22. Destroying any tangible defense of Bible infallibility and inerrancy, due to the inherent corruptions in the Alexandrian text.)

The common problem in Homestead Heritage of version smorgasbording (choosing various translations from a dozen versions in order to match the current thought of the ministry rather than conforming the ministry to the pure,unchangeable word of God, the plumb line of faith) would thus be addressed.

In addition the problem of the fallible Homestead Heritage literature having a far greater focus for the members than the scriptures, the word of God, would be corrected. The false doctrine of Homestead Heritage that errors are actually proper necessary in the Bibles (sic) read today would then be placed on the doctrinal ash-heap.

And the errant desire to make up your own Homestead Heritage version, supposedly to weed out English Bible corruption, would then be seen as simply a discarded error of an earlier day.

Psalm 12:6-7
The words of the LORD are pure words:
as silver tried in a furnace of earth,
purified seven times.
Thou shalt keep them, O LORD,
thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Psalm 119:140
Thy word is very pure:
therefore thy servant loveth it.

2) Homestead Heritage has become far too yahweh-centric in prayer, praise, worship, speech and reading. The true word for the Tetragram is Jehovah (in modern Hebrew Yehovah) and yahweh is an 1800s German liberal corruption, which name should not be on our lips. Homestead Heritage really needs to fully return to Jesus as the one name above all other names, and no longer to call upon and travail and sing and give worship and praise unto an unholy yahweh.
===========

3) The non-name of yahshua has muscled its way into Homestead Heritage literature and praxis as a proposed equivalent and alternate to Jesus. This was done, following the lead of the sacred namers, in order to match yahweh in the unfolding name doctrine and revelation. Yet, everybody in scholarship and faith and Hebraic language studies knows there no such name as yahshua in Hebrew. And there never has been such a name. Multi-syllable theophoric names begin with Jeho .. as in Jehovah, Jehosaphat, Jehoash, Jehoiachin and Jehoram. In literature, Homestead Heritage has even suggested changing those names as well, which is a failure. All of this, built around trying to justify yahweh and then the derivative corruption yahshua, has been an improper error-begets-error endeavor.

======

Psalm 83:18 (AV)

That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH,
art the most high over all the earth.

Philippians 2:9-10
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven,
and things in earth, and things under the earth;

There is no place in Christianity for pagan and errant manglings like yahweh and yahshua. With yahweh, Homestead Heritage has even opened the door, directly, to a paganism that should be seen as from the dark side, the demonic realm. The historic struggles within Homestead Heritage involving false prophecy are connected with this faux source. These are truly fundamental and foundational matters, far more so than the issues of an asserted ministry apostolic authority.

Exodus 23:13

And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect:
and make no mention of the name of other gods,
neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you,
that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing:
therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

The degree to which Homestead Heritage descended into being a yahweh-centric group is hidden in the publicly available literature. And only leaks out in hints and nods, such as the Yahweh Lives (sic) album produced by Spring of Hope. Or when they mangle a song like Days of Elijah (There is No God like Jehovah) in a concert.

It is, however, abundantly clear in many private prayer times, and in corporate prayer, when the rooms are ringing with the creepy and neck-tingling "ohhhh...yahweehhhh". And it is clearly shown in the internal literature proclaiming "Yahweh-worship" as the fundamental creed of Homestead Heritage.

4) Even water baptism, while beginning with the name of Jesus, has added this non-existent name of yahshua, which is not a linguistic equivalent to Jesus. It is just a gibberish mangling. This has even shaken the apostolic moorings at Homestead Heritage. Beyond inserting yahshua, water baptism confusions have became so severe that Homestead Heritage even recently placed a claim in their public statement of faith (What We Believe) that water baptism is a "pledge of the old nature", an abominable doctrinal claim that is incomprehensible and non-Biblical and certainly not Christian. At the same time, the earlier connection of water baptism with remission of sins, a pillar of the historic Homestead Heritage belief, is nowhere to be found in "What we Believe".

Acts 8:36-37
And as they went on their way,
they came unto a certain water:
and the eunuch said,
See, here is water;
what doth hinder me to be baptized?

And Philip said,
If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest.
And he answered and said,
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Acts 8:37 was an anchor of faith into the 1980s. Today, Homestead Heritage will not say whether they accept the verse as scripture, or reject it as the supposed abominable tamperings of man.

5) Some of these errors, and erroneous support arguments, have been wrongly placed in Homestead Heritage literature under the Blair Adams byline. Even when Blair Adams was not the developer or writer of the literature. Others have pushed these ideas into Homestead Heritage, making a good number of elementary logic and fundamental doctrinal errors. The Blair Adams byline should not include the many factual or logical errors that now encumber Homestead heritage literature, it would be better to be pristine and pure and accurate, thus more fully representing the nature of our Lord Jesus. By having these errors solidified as supposed Blair Adams writings, future correction within Homestead Heritage is made virtually impossible.
===========

All of this would be, potentially, if addressed sincerely with a heart for the Lord Jesus Christ, wonderfully easy to correct. And the heritage of Homestead Heritage could be back on solid moorings, unstained. This forward movement of purity and truth needs the attention of Blair Adams along with any remnant of sincere Christian men within the ministry of Homestead Heritage.

Proverbs 27:17
Iron sharpeneth iron;
so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

At the very least, Homestead Heritage should begin the process of examination of these concerns and difficulties. Ending the cloistered negative reinforcement approach of elders and ministers simply assuring each other that we must be okay, based on the post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy of lives being changed and some growth continuing. The blessings that continue to a nice degree within Homestead Heritage are simply the momentum of the early days of purity, zeal and dedication.

Romans 11:29
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Many originally Christian groups have maintained growth, even while going astray from fundamentals, or even drifting into an errant and dangerous cultism. On all five points, the severe deterioration within Homestead Heritage (and its earlier names like Kononia) began after the 1970s, and began to snowball in the 1990s.

Proverbs 22:28
Remove not the ancient landmark,
which thy fathers have set.

In an earlier day, not too many years back, one segment of the ministry of Homestead Heritage was in fact very properly considering many of the issues above. They appeared to be ready to make the major moves of cleansing and renewal. However, their current status of drawing back is echoed in the warning from Hebrews:

Hebrews 10:38-39
Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back,
my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition;
but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Psalm 42:7
Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts:
all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
