Actually, the Complutensian Greek NT text is *much* closer to the Byzantine majority text than *any* edition of the TR. Check Scrivener's collation of it in the first (1861) edition of his Plain Introduction (available at archive.org), and compare the variations noted from the TR with any edition of the majority text (HF, RP, Pickering). Then prepare to be surprised!
