[...] Many contradictions and anachronisms were also noted in Simonides' accounts. At the beginning he claimed that 600 years earlier his manuscript belonged to the Monastery of Saint Saba. When the old Patriarch Constantine objected to him that at that time such a monastery did not exist, the next day he [i.e. Simonides] told the former Patriarch of Alexandria Artemios that he did not mean the monastery of Saba, but that of Sabele.
