Well, links to photo galleries anyway.
The idea here is to be able to compare Sinaiticus with other manuscripts also considered ancient.

Some have to be checked, as transcriptions or black and white can make it into some lists:

Most of this is medieval, 9th century and on, and thus only marginally a comparison piece. It is not so much that there is much of a different in the aging of 1000 years and 1500 years, it is more a difficulty of the viewer, and some differences in techniques. We might want to include two or three from this later period.

Codex Vaticanus

This ms. has almost fully overrwriting, or retracing.
Also: Vaticanus cuts off mid-Hebrews and lacks Revelation, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon.

The monastery of St. Catherine, Mount Sinai (founded by the emperor Justinian I between 527 and 565), where the section of the codex containing Romans 11:6 to Hebrews remains as MS Sinai Syr.3. ... The leaves here were presumably lost from the monastery in the nineteenth century, and may have entered the antiquity markets in Cairo.

(This would have likely been a theft by one of the manuscript hunters in the 1800s known for such heists, Tischendorf was the most active with Catherines, Uspensky is a possibility.)

One way to look at this is a century at a time. There is some overlap, and generally I will bypass papyrus and palimpsest.

e.g. up to 400 AD shows 15 ms. - 11 are very yellow papyrus fragments

Sinaiticus

Alexandrinus

5th century Add MS 40107 Leaf from the Codex Palatinus -
The Page shown has English Writing - the ms page is a vellum with purple dye

300-899 Add MS 40165 A Cyprian epistles and Old English Martyrology fragments
(Flyleafs in the binding of a 12th century ms)

=========================================

501 AD to 599AD

6th century-12th century Add MS 5111 Four Gospels (Gregory-Aland 438; Scrivener evan. 438; von Soden ε 241), in two volumes

6th century Add MS 14654 FRAGMENTS Of three manuscripts, containing part of the Martyrdoms of Cursacus, Eleutherius, Philemon, St. Sophia and her daughters, and St. Simeon. On vellum, of the vith century. Quarto. [14,654.]
Saint Simeon: Martyrdom of.: Syriac.
Saint Sophia: Martyrdom of her and her daughters: Syriac.
Saint Philemon: Martyrdom of. Syriac.
Saint Eleutherius: Martyrdom of.: Syriac.
Cursacus, Sanctus: Martyrdom of.: Syriac.
(Seems to be a book)
