Default Help PBF Choose a Forum Style and color

Hi ,

You might want to just cruise around for awhile.
The whole "Style" world is complex.

This can be implemented after we start.

NOTE THAT THESE FORUMS have separators between "Categories" something we lack on this default.

Whether our chosen forum style is free or $25-35 is not the issue ("custom" costs more). Simply finding
a good one with nice color scheme and some basic neat features.

At least two forums have special style sections where designers post their styles.

Vbulletin.org

Vbulletinsetup.com
http://forum.vbulletinsetup.com/f191/

Then various designers may, or may not, have small portfolio areas.

Default Styles and Color

So many choices it is mind-boggling. I really like simplicity. Too much bold color and clutter takes away from the reading experience.

I like a heavenly blue color myself. Easy to read text against a light blue or white background.

Actually, the FFF forum looks very nice to me.......minus the annoying ads that I can't stand......

So maybe the default is fine........or something similar with the dividers?

We need a nice logo to cover up the vbulletin heading at the top. Something elegant rather than tacky.

I also get annoyed at animations. If some like to use them, I hope there is a setting for individuals to turn them off. Too distracting. I am most interested in reading the posts and thinking about what I read.

Shalom,

Tandi

The blues are nice, the main alternative I think is some of the tans (e.g. chestnut, etc). I could conceive of a green, but not likely to find really right.

The FFF looks to be the default. The way they get the box look is by the decisions of categories and forums (a category has no direct posting, it holds sub-forums). I think the design is thus single-level, nothing like

KJB Defense --> Verses --> heavenly witnesses
Acts 8:37

Verses can be made top-level ... or waiting for the separators you can achieve two levels more nicely (and there are alternatives as to whether to show the second level on the top-page, which I am testing ).

Right. A few tabs on the top are kewl, if you can get them. However I haven't found one yet. The user should be able to toggle styles, btw, once we set one up.

Right. I was hoping Billie would step in, she put the one in the Messianic_Apologetic forum.

No animations, no flash, no way.

Shalom,
Steven

If you would like I can work on a graphic. What are the specifics? (pixel size etc.)
